These are the concepts that encompass Certus Training Solutions. Certus means these ideas in Latin, a language long since dead but still provides us with great wisdom and insight.
I wanted to create a place where people could come and LEARN at their level and pace and not feel intimidated by their lack of experience or knowledge. This is a place to come and learn foundations and build new skills that will allow you to advance to more complex training when YOU are ready. Certus is NOT one of those intimidating, high energy, "in your face" type of training environments. Our niche is taking beginners and those with limited experience and making them safe, knowledgeable, and prepared.
Just as the heritage of aviation from which many of these training, learning and discipline concepts arose, so too is the philosophy, focus, sense of assuredness and preparedness you will attain as a student at Certus Training Solutions.
A few of our Courses...
Basic Pistol Level One
Basic Pistol Level One teaches the fundamentals of safe shooting and handgun manipulation to beginners and any shooters wishing to have a better grasp of proper marksmanship.
License To Carry
Persons wishing to obtain the Texas License to Carry (LTC) should take the Basic Pistol Level One before attending this course unless they have previous experience safely and correctly operating handguns. You should first take and pass the Texas online LTC course then attend this course. Those with previous shooting experience will complete the online course, then attend the live fire examination which includes the mandatory one hour safety briefing and review followed by the 50 shot practical examination. This course is generally under two hours. Call for more information and details.
Basic Rifle "Carbine"
This course is an introduction to
operating and safely shooting the AR15 platform rifles.
Refresher & Private Courses
Interested in private instruction? Certus will cater to your specific needs and deliver a training experience you will enjoy and that is customized to your abilities and goals. Hourly rates apply and small private groups and individuals are welcomed. Call to customize your training event!
